London's New Year's Day Parade - A BIT OF BACKGROUND
The New Year's Day Parade has taken place in London on the first of January each year since 1987.
The parade starts from Westminster as Big Ben strikes 12 noon and follows a 2.2 mile route to Berkeley Square. Thousands of performers from around the world take part in the parade which is watched by the hundreds of thousands of spectators who line the streets.
The photographs displayed on this site have attempted to capture some of the variety, excitement and fun of the parade.
